This article lists all device vendors and models supported through the Edge connector, along with their connection parameters and any device-specific setup required before claiming.

⚠️Before you save device credentials
If credentials are not accepted, Xyte keeps retrying on that model's normal polling interval. Many devices lock the account, or block the connecting address, after a few failed sign-ins, and while a device is locked it will reject even correct credentials.
Check the username, password and port before saving. If a device stops responding to management access after credentials were entered, clear the lockout on the device (or wait out its lockout window) before correcting the credentials in Xyte.
Lockout thresholds and timeouts are set by the manufacturer, not by Xyte — check the vendor's own documentation for the model you are claiming.
📘Unless a model below exposes an SNMP community string parameter, Xyte polls it with the default community public. Set the device's community string to public, or it will only ever report heartbeat data. SNMP polling uses UDP port 161, which must also be open from the Edge host to the device.

⚠️Lockout behaviour on these switches
After three failed logins a NETGEAR switch blocks further attempts, and the block lasts longer each time — up to an hour. While it is blocking, the switch rejects even the correct password, so a device that is being polled with wrong credentials can stay locked until the attempts stop. Clear the lockout on the switch, or stop the polling, before correcting the credentials in Xyte.
