Bulk Add Devices
Use this article as a reference when filling out the Bulk Add Devices template. It covers the required columns for each device type and what to prepare before uploading.
Before you upload
Before submitting your file, we recommend taking a moment to review two resources:
- Supported devices list — confirm that your models are supported and that the model names in your file match exactly.
- Required connection parameters per model — some models require specific details such as a username, password, port, or API key to connect successfully. Having these ready will save time after claiming.
Column reference
All devices
These columns are required for every device, regardless of type.

Edge devices
In addition to the columns above, Edge devices require the following.

Note: Either IP or Hostname must be provided — both are not required, but at least one must be filled in.
Natively-supported devices
In addition to the all-devices columns, natively-supported devices require one of the following registration methods.

Note: Provide either Serial Number + MAC Address or Cloud ID — not both. Choose the registration method that applies to your devices.
Additional notes
- Host (Edge name) must match the exact name of the Edge Agent the device will be claimed on.
- For non-Edge devices, use either Serial Number + MAC Address or Cloud ID — whichever applies to your registration method.
- IP and Hostname are interchangeable for Edge devices. If Local IP is not provided, Hostname must be filled in, and vice versa.
