Edge
Start from what you see in the portal and trace it to the root cause.
Start from what you can see in the portal. Each path below runs from the symptom down to the root cause.
The Edge shows Offline or Error. Trace it: is the host up → is Docker running → does the name resolve → is port 443 reachable from the host → from inside the container → is a firewall inspecting the traffic.
Every device on the Edge sits in Never seen. Trace it: ping a device from the portal → from the Edge host → is ICMP permitted to the device network → is the device's own protocol enabled.
A device is offline, unreachable, or will not claim. Trace it: can the Edge ping it → is that the device's own IP → is it routed from the Edge host → does the device need its protocol enabled.
Docker Desktop won't start, the engine is down, the image won't pull, or docker ps doesn't show xyte_edge. Nothing else can be diagnosed until this is fixed.

The container was removed or the machine was rebuilt — bring the Edge back under its original Edge ID, and fix upgrades that fail with "Permission denied".
Epson, Sony and Logitech devices need their control protocol enabled before the Edge can monitor them.
Still stuck? Collect the Edge container logs — Docker won't run → Logs to send to support — and send them to [email protected] with the time of a failed attempt, so we can trace it from our side.
