Beta device models
When you add a device, some models in the list carry a BETA badge — in the search results, on the model card and at the top of the claim form.
What BETA means
A BETA model is mapped to an existing, supported driver based on the manufacturer's published specifications, but it has not yet been tested by Xyte on a real device of that exact model.
What it means for you
- You can claim, monitor and manage a BETA model exactly like any other model. Nothing is hidden or limited.
- Most data and commands are expected to work, because the driver is shared with closely related models. A few readings or commands may behave differently on your specific model.
- If something does not look right, contact support with the device name and what you see. Your report helps us confirm the model and remove the BETA badge.
The BETA badge is a label only. It does not change how the device is claimed, billed or monitored.
