Epson projectors are monitored via the PJLink protocol. As the protocol is not enabled by default, action must be taken by the user to enable it.

Steps before monitoring:

1. Connect the projector to the network (reachable from the Edge)
2. Obtain the projector's IP/hostname
3. Enable PJLink
4. (Optionally) Set PJLink password

The steps above are specific to each Epson projector, consult the official Epson documentation on details on how to perform each step.

Example for CB-L630U

Get The projector IP. For example using On-Screen Menu (OSD):

1. Power on the projector.
2. Press the [Menu] button on the remote control.
3. Navigate to Network → Network Configuration.
4. Go to the Wireless LAN or Wired LAN tab (depending on your setup).
5. Look under IP Address or Status. You'll see the current IP address listed.

Enable PJLink:

1. Press the Menu button on the projector's remote control.
2. Navigate to Network > Network Configuration > Basic.
3. Set PJLink to On.
4. *(Optional) Set PJLink password (up to 32 alphanumeric characters. Note that spaces and symbols (except for "@") are not allowed.)

"Notified IP Address" is called in some Epson projectors "PJLink Notification". It might be confusing but this field is not relevant. No need to change it

In order to control your Sony Bravia displays, the following steps are required:

1. Connect the display to a network
2. Enable IP Control
3. Configure Authentication

Connecting the display to a network

Wired (Ethernet) Connection

1. Plug an Ethernet cable into the TV's LAN port.
2. On the remote, press Home → go to Settings → Network & Internet.
3. Ensure "Wired" or "LAN" is selected.
4. The TV should automatically receive an IP address via DHCP.

Wi-Fi Connection

1. On the remote: Home → Settings → Network & Internet.
2. Turn on Wi-Fi.
3. Select your Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and connect.
4. Check assigned IP via Network Status.

Optional: Set up IP manually via IP settings if needed.

Enabling IP Control

1. Press the HOME button on your remote.
2. Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Home Network Setup > IP Control.
3. Set Control Remotely to On.

Configuring Authentication

1. In the IP Control menu, select Authentication.
2. Select "Pre-Shared Key"
3. Set the Pre-Shared Key under "Pre-Shared Key"
