Overview

Authorization with the Sony cloud is done via an API Key and Access Key combination.

API Access Requirements

To use the Sony cloud API with Xyte, make sure you have:

• Required account / tenant: Sony account set up through the Sony program
• Required access: Sony cloud API credentials issued by Sony
• Required plan / license: As provided through Sony program setup
• Where to verify: Sony BRAVIA Cloud API registration page

How to Retrieve Your Sony API Key and Access Key

Visit the Sony Partner Developer Portal and sign in with your credentials.

Find your API Key

1. Click on "My Account" in the top right corner.
2. In the right panel, click "Show" under "API access key"
3. Copy the API key and paste it into the API Key field above.

Generate your Access Key

1. Make a POST call to the access-keys endpoint (https://api.apps.rdm.sony.net/rms/v1/access-keys). Use your API Key for authentication
2. Paste the Access Key returned in the response to the Access Key field above.

Connector root space name: Sony

If deleted and re-added:

Deleting this connector will remove all imported devices and their data. This action cannot be undone.

• A new connector will be created upon re-adding.
• If the name Sony already exists, the new connector will be named Sony 1.
• The device tree will be re-imported under the new connector.
• The tree hierarchy will not be deleted.
