Biamp Workplace
Overview
Authorization to the Biamp Workplace cloud is done via a user with access to the devices to be monitored.
API Access Requirements
To use the Biamp Workplace cloud API with Xyte, make sure you have:
- Required account / tenant: Biamp Workplace tenant/account
- Required access: API access as part of the platform
- Required plan / license: Licensing depends on deployment
- Where to verify: Biamp Workplace platform page
Create user
Xyte requires org admin privileges to integrate with Biamp. There are two ways to do this:
- Enter credentials (email and password) for a current Biamp Workplace user with org admin privileges.
- Create a dedicated user for Xyte in Biamp Workplace (e.g. [email protected]) with org admin privileges.
These credentials will be securely stored on Xyte servers for 7 days before being deleted.
Locate your Biamp Workplace Organization ID
Find your Biamp Workplace Organization ID in the Biamp Workplace website under Organization
Notes
- If 2FA is enabled on your Biamp Workplace account, you will need to either temporarily disable or coordinate with your XYTE representative to complete a one-time authentication.

Connector root space name: Biamp_workplace
If deleted and re-added:
Deleting this connector will remove all imported devices and their data. This action cannot be undone.
- A new connector will be created upon re-adding.
- If the name
Biamp_workplacealready exists, the new connector will be namedBiamp_workplace 1. - The device tree will be re-imported under the new connector.
- The tree hierarchy will not be deleted.
