Add and manage spaces

Add and manage your spaces with ease

To add a space for your company, follow these steps:

  1. Hover over the main branch, click the ellipsis (...) that appears, and click Add new space. Alternatively, you can hover over the path to the selected space in the dashboard section and click the + icon that appears. Note that you can also update the space’s name by clicking the pencil icon:

  1. Provide a name for the space. This might be the location of a branch or a store name; for example, London.
  2. Hover over the space you just created, click the ellipsis that appears, and click Add new space. This creates a child space nested below the parent space.
  3. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as required to reflect your company’s physical structure. Here is an example of what this might look like:

Multiple levels of nesting are supported to accommodate any company configuration.

You can rename and delete spaces. You can also drag and drop spaces to change the order in which they are displayed. Be careful when performing any of these actions, however, as they will impact the entire company and, consequently, all other users. It’s not just your instance that is affected.

Incidents warning indicator

The warning sign next to a space alerts you to incidents that the space is experiencing.

The color reflects the most severe incident where more than one incident is exists in the space: Low (gray), Moderate (yellow), High (orange), or Critical (red).

Space pop up menu

A pop up menu for your spaces contains functions that lets you manage your spaces easily.

Mouse over a space to reveal the ellipsis (...). Click the ellipsis to display a pop up menu that is relevant for the specific space.

  • Space name: the name of the space appears at the top of the menu, e.g., Boston.
  • Set maintenance ON: pauses notifications when work is carried out to resolve an issue with a device in that space. See Set Maintenance.
  • Claim a device: this space can claim an unclaimed device. See Claim a device.
  • Rename: rename the space.
  • Manage Access: grant access to users or groups of users. See Space Settings.
  • Add new space: adds a sub-space under the selected space.
  • Remove: removes the space.
