AI Teammate

Overview

The Xyte AI Teammate is your intelligent assistant built directly into the Xyte platform. It helps you:

  • Ask questions about entities (spaces, devices, users, organizations).
  • Summarize incidents, tickets, and data.
  • Send commands to devices, from web or mobile.
  • Get support and guidance about the Xyte platform (e.g., “How do I claim devices?”).

The AI Teammate understands context. For example, if you ask “What are the top incidents in this space?” it will recognize which space you’re referring to.

Note:

Xyte's AI Teammate is currently available as a closed beta only (as of Oct 2025). For information about joining the beta, please contact your Customer Success Manager.


How to Access

  1. In your browser, look to the bottom right-hand corner.
  2. Click on the “AI” icon.
  3. The Xyte AI chatbot window will open with some suggested sample questions.
  4. Type your question naturally (just like ChatGPT), and the AI will return the answer.

Where the Data Comes From & How It Works

  • Data Sources: The AI Teammate pulls directly from Xyte’s device, incident, and organizational data as well as device manuals uploaded by our manufacturer partners and their help forums.
  • Real-time updates: Information is refreshed live from the Xyte platform.
  • Understanding context: The AI knows which device, space, or incident you’re talking about without needing you to re-specify every time.
  • Security: All interactions follow Xyte’s security and permissions model—you’ll only see data you already have access to.
